Location: Ladbroke Grove

Salary: 30-35K

Type: Full-time

We are looking for a passionate all rounder, who has experience in customer service and a keen eye for detail.  We are specifically looking for someone who is passionate about all things pastry and patisserie, who is keen to help us grow with both our retail and e-commerce. 

This is a varied and dynamic role perfect for someone who thrives on wearing many hats.  You’ll lead in-store operations, community engagement, and brand growth, all while ensuring day-to-day excellence and supporting our small, passionate team.

About You:

You’re a passionate, multi-talented individual who thrives in a diverse role and wants to help grow something special. You’ll succeed with us if you:

          Have experience in hospitality, retail, or events management (bonus if it’s in food or baking).

          Are highly organised and excel at multitasking.

          Are detail-oriented, ensuring everything from orders to the shop layout is perfect.

What You’ll Do:

Shop Operations & Customer Excellence

          Print and manage web orders, ensuring accuracy and timely preparation.

          Answer emails and phone calls, including taking phone orders with care and precision.

          Order all packaging and ingredients, ensuring price checks for cost efficiency.

          Keep the shop well-stocked, clean, and visually stunning at all times.

          Step in to purchase urgent supplies locally if a delivery falls through.

          Ensure clear communication with customers about deliveries, pickups, and special orders.

          Talk to customers about private and corporate orders/events with professionalism and warmth.

          Write weekly staff rotas and manage day-to-day staffing needs.

 

Team Management & Training

          Lead by example, stepping in to support sales when needed.

          Train the front-of-house team to deliver outstanding customer service with a focus on quality and excellence.

          Help with recruitment and onboarding of new team members as needed.

          Communicate with the pastry chef team about new products, events and customer orders. 

Growth & Brand Development

          Collaborate with the founder to plan and execute events like workshops and pop-ups.

          Help with product costings to ensure profitability while maintaining quality.

          Contribute to branding and marketing efforts, including creating campaigns and partnerships.

  • Creating deeper connections with our events partners and writing propositions for events 
  • Assisting with new product development and brand growth – through extending our sales channels and considering new sales avenues (postal, retail etc)

 

Health, Safety & Compliance

          Keep up to date with health and safety regulations, including allergen compliance, and ensure these are communicated to staff and customers.
